Abbots' Way takes in the 3 churches in Fountains Parish, Winksley, Sawley and Aldfield, as well as St Mary's Church, Studley Royal, which is owned by English Heritage and managed by the National Trust. (Please check opening times for St Mary's).
All route descriptions are for anti-clockwise walking. Timings allow a short time at each church
Round walk, all churches: 9 miles (14km) 5-6 hours
Sawley/Aldfield/St Mary’s: 5 miles (8km) 3.5 hours
Winksley/Aldfield/St Mary’s: 5.5 miles (9km) 3.5 hours
Fountains Visitor Centre/St Mary’s/Aldfield & return: (linear, not circular) 3 miles (5km) 1.5-2 hrs
